About the Foundation

PRACHI Hope Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) formed in 2024 for providing support in various forms to patients affected by cancer. The motivation for creating this organization stems from the commonly observed striking increase in the incidence of cancers around us. The estimated incidence suggesting that one out of nine persons in India is at the risk of developing cancer underscores the need for cancer prevention programs. Realization that very few cancer affected individuals in semi-urban and rural areas have access to support groups also strengthened our resolve to undertake this project.

For several reasons, cancer is considered as an incurable disease. Difficulty in tackling the disease is compounded by lack of information about proper diagnosis, treatment options, financial constraints and support to deal with mental and physical stress. This is where we at PRACHI intend to make a difference by imparting relevant knowledge, information, counselling and support.

PRACHI’s vision is that cancer affected individuals are able to tackle the disease with confidence and a positive attitude.

PRACHI’s Mission is informed and relieved cancer patients and relatives.

Several non-governmental organizations across India aim to either enhance cancer awareness and cancer prevention, or support cancer patients as they traverse their illness. PRACHI Hope Foundation has been actively collaborating with some of these institutions over the recent months, working together as partners with overlapping or significantly aligned goals. Details of our current partners and our efforts so far to progress in our stated objectives are described below.
