Leadership
Academically, PRACHI is being led by two cancer scientists (Dr. Ram Datar and Dr. Narendra Joshi) both with research experience in cancer and molecular biology. Dr. Datar, after obtaining Ph.D. at the Cancer Research Institute (now part of ACTREC, Kharghar) of the Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai spent twenty two years working in the USA, retiring as a co-director of Biomed Nanotech Institute, Miami, Florida. Dr. Narendra Joshi during postdoctoral studies spanning eight years has worked at Tufts, Harvard and UCSF in the USA. He later joined Cancer Research Institute and worked at ACTREC as a senior researcher studying genetic and immunological aspects of cancer risk.
Dr. Ram Datar
After working at the Cancer Research Institute of the Tata Memorial Centre, Mumbai for 12 years, Dr. Datar spent 22 years working in USA in various leadership positions in reputed academic institutions including the University of Southern California, Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Miami. He served as the Founder Co-Director of Biomedical Nanotechnology Institute of the University of Miami, Florida. He is currently the CEO of a biomedical device start-up ii the USA, Circulogix Inc.
Dr. Narendra Joshi
Dr. Narendra Joshi obtained his doctorate at the renowned Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai. During his postdoctoral studies he worked at Tufts University, Harvard University and University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) in the USA. He later joined Cancer Research institute and worked at ACTREC as a senior researcher studying genetic and immunological aspects of cancer risk.
Administratively, PRACHI leadership includes management experts, Mr Aniruddha Joshi and Mr. Kiran Utpat. Mr. Utpat, with over forty years of experience in industry in various capacities has worked as a management consultant for renowned organizations and has been instrumental in ensuring their steady growth. Mr. Joshi also has experience of more than four decades in the mining industry retiring as director of a well-known mining company. Active as a consultant guiding many organizations, he brings a wealth of experience in management.
Mr. Aniruddha Joshi
An IIT Kharagpur Mining Engineering alumnus with an experience of more than four decades in mining industry, Mr. Aniruddha Joshi retired as Director of a well-known mining company, Sesa Goa. He is active as a consultant guiding many organizations, and brings a wealth of management experience.
Mr. Kiran Utpat
With over 40 years of experience in industries, Mr. Utpat worked as a management consultant for renowned organizations & has been instrumental in ensuring their steady growth.
